Welcome to Ample Amity Farms!
Here at Ample Amity Farms we strive to raise modern, correct frame style Polled Dorsets that are sound and look like Polled Dorsets should look! We put emphasis on raising sheep that are competitive in the show ring but also productive in the lambing barn! Our goal is to create sheep that will be just as productive for our customers as they are for us!
We began raising registered purebred Polled Dorsets in 1996! We have added genetics from flocks all over the country. In our early years we worked closely with Ram & Ewe farm and thus their flock heavily influenced our own flock. In the years since, we have added genetics from flocks such as Spilde Dorsets, Mithoefer Dorsets, Egan Dorsets, DeVries Dorsets, Crouch Dorsets, Turtle Mead Farm, Purple Ribbon Farms, and more. In recent years, we have worked very closely with the Pope Dorsets flock out of Indiana. As a result, you will see a heavy influence of Pope Dorsets genetics in our current program.
Our farm is located 10 miles Southwest of downtown Dayton, Ohio between Route 35 and Route 4. We have convenient access to both Interstate 70 and Interstate 75! We are also just a 1/2 hour East from the Preble County Fairgrounds in Eaton, Ohio and 45 minutes Southeast of the Darke County Fairgrounds in Greenville, Ohio!
Feel free to contact Steve with any questions about our flock or to schedule a farm tour!
